Jade Reynolds
Goodlettsville, Tennessee
Born on the East Coast, artist Jade Reynolds spent most of her youth in Manhattan and Los Angeles. Early in her career Reynolds was an actor, model, and television special producer. In 1981 she met the love of her life, moved to Nashville, TN and never looked back.
Though she has never had formal training, Reynolds has been earning money with her art and honing her skills since she was in her teens. After relocating to Nashville, she started her own manufacturing company in the late 1980's and stayed in the business of luxury hand-painted children's furniture and art for nearly thirty years. During that time her designs achieved notoriety such as being in the homes of many celebrities and featured on the cover of People Magazine. In 2010 Reynolds decided she wanted to create art full time and retired from the furniture business. With her design skills and knowledge of manufacturing and gift design, Reynolds garnered success in licensing her art for other companies and designing new products for them. Though she is a sought after “gallery artist” painting in a whimsical, carefree style, Reynolds has also continued to be very successful with her children's art and continues to work with her publishers to create works based on the latest trends.
Jade lives just north of Nashville with her many animals. She enjoys cooking, entertaining, gardening, growing vegetables and caring for her menagerie. All her life she has been told by friends and family she should do art full time. Now she is thrilled to say, she can!
